Black Girl Vitamins seeks a Manager, Product Development to own the end-to-end creation of new dietary supplement products. You will write briefs, guide formulation, and oversee testing, substantiation, and production readiness while partnering with science teams and external manufacturers.

You will own the product pipeline from opportunity through launch, define consumer needs, ensure FDA compliance, and drive cost and timing targets. Chicago preferred with US remote considered.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of product development in dietary supplements or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related science or engineering.
• Solid knowledge of FDA dietary supplement regulations, labeling, and claims.
• Experience directly managing contract manufacturers and suppliers.
• Commercial sense to connect formulation to cost and market needs.
• Strong documentation and process improvement capabilities.
• Interest or experience with women’s health is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Decide what we should make and research market opportunities with scientific rationale.
• Write briefs defining consumer, benefits, dosage, claims, and costs.
• Own formulation and testing with formulators, scientists and labs.
• Manage contract manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, and packaging vendors.
• Ensure labels meet FDA requirements and GMP standards.
• Hand off products to launch with specs, lead times and risks documented.
• Build stage gates and documentation to scale product development.
• Lead improvements based on reviews and performance data.
