Job summary

Health & Happiness Group in North America is seeking a Product Development Manager to lead technical development of dietary and nutritional supplement products for the China market, from formulation through pilot-scale trials and full-scale manufacturing.

You will work with internal teams, contract manufacturers, suppliers, and global partners to ensure compliant, high-quality products are brought to market.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Mandarin preferred.
• End-to-end new product development knowledge and regulatory considerations.
• Extensive knowledge of dietary supplement formulation, dosage forms, and quality assurance.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Business acumen balancing technical requirements with commercial and project needs.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the United States, with occasional international travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical product development for dietary and nutritional supplements for North America, coordinating from formulation to full-scale manufacturing.
• Serve as technical lead for China-market projects, defining product requirements and supporting safety feasibility, claims substantiation, and regulatory considerations.
• Communicate with U.S.-based contract manufacturers on formulations, trial protocols, process development, and controls.
• Support manufacturing capacity and supply continuity via technical transfer to additional contract manufacturers.
• Evaluate raw material specs and formulation data for regulatory compliance, quality, and claims support.
• Provide technical and scientific support addressing consumer, customer, manufacturing, and quality issues.
• Conduct literature and research on trends, ingredients, and processing technologies in the dietary supplement market.
• Build relationships with contract manufacturers, suppliers, and project partners; manage deliverables against timelines.
• Participate in cross-functional project meetings, providing input on deliverables, timelines, and risks.
• Drive continuous improvement in NPD ways of working, tools, and documentation across Product Development.
