Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Product Development Manager within the Advanced Solutions Group to drive innovation and mature the ASG offering portfolio by piloting and deploying new solutions across the organization.

You will work with internal teams and partners to test prototypes, build business cases, and support GTM initiatives, with a focus on safety, productivity, and sustainability, while traveling up to 50%.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred; advanced technical or business training a plus.
5+ years in product development, project management, or R&D.
Experience introducing and managing complex technical solutions in customer environments.
Ability to develop strategic proposals and implement rollout plans.
Familiarity with construction technologies including IoT, AI, and sensors.

Responsibilities

Lead product development lifecycle from concept through pilot to scalable offerings.
Collaborate with ASG team and field leadership to pilot and enhance solutions.
Coordinate with Sourcing and IT for viability and compatibility within operations.
Develop GTM strategy and coordinate rollout plans with Customer Success.
Build relationships with sales teams to support field-level engagement and value delivery.
Travel ~50% and interact with multiple regions and major airports.
