Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) is seeking a Product Development Engineer to join the mechanical design team for next-generation high-speed connector products. You will collaborate with signal integrity, mechanical integrity, and NPI teams to ensure reliability, manufacturability, and profitability, while interfacing with internal and external suppliers and customers.

Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Experience with CAD/CAE tools (Pro/E, SolidWorks) and FEA.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite.
  • Understanding of GD&T and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Understand evolving industry needs and product requirements.
  • Coordinate with Signal Integrity and Mechanical Integrity teams for performance and reliability.
  • Support high-volume production readiness with NPI and Machine Design teams.
  • Contribute to material selection and initial product specifications.
  • Interact with customers during project phases and assist in sales processes.
  • Provide tooling design and qualification support and travel as needed.
