Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) is seeking an experienced Connector Development Engineer to join our team and advance next-generation interconnect products. You will lead design efforts for high-speed and power connectors, and cable assemblies, collaborating with global customers and cross-functional teams to meet performance and cost targets.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field.
8+ years of connector and/or cable assembly design and development experience.
Experience with card edge, memory, power connectors, and high-speed cable assemblies.
Familiarity with PCIe, DDR, OCP, JEDEC, and SFF standards.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, design, and execution of connector development projects from concept through qualification.
Design high-speed connectors, power connectors, and cable assemblies.
Collaborate with global customers and cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver interconnect solutions.
Apply knowledge of server/storage architectures and industry standards to meet performance goals.
Develop prototypes, oversee testing/qualification, and ensure compliance with standards.
Provide design trade-offs and support manufacturing decisions.
