Job summary

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or Electrical Engineering required.
• 3+ years of industry experience in interconnects preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of GD&T methodologies.
• Experience with solid modeling tools (Pro/E) and FEA is a plus.
• Ability to travel ~10% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Maintain product quality and reliability, ensure mechanical integrity, and perform failure analysis.
• Manage product documentation and specifications at component and process levels.
• Serve as customer focal point for technical product information and in-field applications.
• Integrate new technologies and cost initiatives into product designs for new releases.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing personnel through prototype to pilot production.
• Coordinate successful transitions from NPI to volume manufacturing in low-cost regions.
• Provide technical assistance to drafters, designers, and engineers.
• Support mechanical design with tolerance analysis, FEA, and material evaluation.
• Identify new materials and manufacturing techniques for product lines.
• Engage with product designers in design reviews, testing, and qualification.
• Participate in quality investigations and process improvements.
