Qualifications

• BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with solid modeling/CAE/CAD tools (Pro/E, SolidWorks, etc.)
• Proficiency with MS Office
• Understanding of GD&T; experience with FEA tools
• Knowledge of copper alloys and high-performance engineering plastics
• Knowledge of manufacturing technologies is a plus
• Ability to travel ~10% domestically and internationally

Responsibilities

• Understand evolving industry needs and product requirements
• Collaborate with Signal Integrity team to ensure mechanical design supports electrical performance
• Collaborate with Mechanical Integrity for high reliability and quality
• Work with NPI and Machine Design teams for high-volume, quality production
• Conduct tolerance loop analyses
• Aid material selection (metal, plastic, coatings)
• Develop initial product specs and technical documentation
• Interface with customers during project phases and assist sales
• Coordinate with suppliers for DFM, prototyping, and tooling; travel as needed
• Support product marketing and sales with technical guidance
• Participate in quality investigations and continuous improvement
• Contribute to fixture/tooling design and test plans
• Participate in cost-reduction initiatives
