Job summary

Tailscale is hiring a Product Designer for the Growth team. You will be the second designer on a cross‑functional squad focused on activation, onboarding, monetization, user expansion, and referral flywheel.

You will partner with Product, UX Research and Engineering to ship minimum‑viable solutions, test hypotheses, and maintain a high craft bar while iterating from experiments and learning continually.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of product design experience, ideally with onboarding, growth or monetization.
• Hands-on experience with growth tooling and approaches such as A/B testing and behavioral analytics tools.
• Experience with self-serve, product-led SaaS business models.
• Comfort interpreting experiment results to guide design decisions.
• Balance speed and quality of deliverables.
• Experience working in distributed, async environments.

Responsibilities

• Draft and propose product changes to move growth initiatives.
• Participate in the experimentation lifecycle, learn from research and iterate.
• Contribute to a backlog of experiment ideas to reduce friction and influence behavior.
• Advocate for user interests and product changes that support them.
• Maintain high quality in shipped work while balancing experimentation.
• Collaborate with PM, researcher, designer and engineers to define problems, goals and measure impact via experiments.
