Job summary

SharkNinja is seeking a Product Design Engineering Co‑op in Needham, MA. You will join a team turning concepts into manufacturable, consumer‑ready products, sketching, CAD modeling, building and testing prototypes to inform design decisions.

You’ll work across engineering, industrial design, marketing, and manufacturing to deliver robust solutions while learning lean practices and contributing to a fast‑paced product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Current student enrolled in a related bachelor’s/master’s/PhD program or recent graduate (within the past year).
• Ability to commit to a full‑time, 40‑hour week on site in Needham, MA.
• Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, or Rhino).
• Experience with basic prototyping tools (3D printing, shop).
• Strong communication to convey design intent to technical and non‑technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine product concepts with a user‑centered approach, balancing ergonomics, performance, manufacturability, and feasibility.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to translate concepts into consumer‑ready solutions.
• Lead design studies and investigations to resolve mechanical, usability, and performance challenges.
• Build, test, and iterate quick‑turn prototypes using hands‑on experimentation and user testing.
• Refine solutions while managing multiple projects and evolving requirements.
