Job summary

SharkNinja is seeking a Product Design Engineering Co-op in Needham, MA for the Sep–Dec 2026 period. You will work on taking concepts from idea to market-ready products, hands-on with mechanical design, CAD modeling, prototyping, and testing, collaborating with manufacturing and engineering partners.

The role emphasizes user-centered thinking, rapid iteration, and strong communication to drive product excellence across the full lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an associate, bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral program, or have graduated within the past year.
• Must be able to work full-time, 40 hours/week, onsite in Needham, MA.
• Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, Rhino).
• Experience with basic prototyping tools (3D printing, shop work).
• Strong communication skills to convey ideas and technical solutions to diverse audiences.
• Solid grasp of mechanical engineering fundamentals and design for manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine product concepts using a user-centered approach.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to translate concepts into functional solutions.
• Lead design studies and investigations to address mechanical and usability challenges.
• Build, test, and iterate quick-turn prototypes based on user feedback.
• Apply curiosity and problem-solving to refine designs throughout development.
