Job summary

SharkNinja is seeking a Product Design Engineering Co-op in Advanced Development to tackle open-ended design problems at the intersection of industrial design and mechanical engineering. You will contribute to early-stage product development for Shark and Ninja brands.

The role requires full-time, 40 hours per week onsite in Needham, MA, for July 2026 to December 2026, with no relocation assistance. A portfolio demonstrating design and engineering process is required.

Qualifications

• Current student in bachelor’s program third year or beyond, or enrolled in a master’s program, or within one year of graduation.

Responsibilities

• Generate new product concepts with a user-centered approach focusing on ergonomics, aesthetics and functional innovation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define solutions meeting functional requirements and enhancing user experience.
• Lead and participate in design studies to solve technical and user-experience challenges.
• Build and test quick-turnaround, low-fidelity prototypes and translate user testing into actionable insights.
• Approach design challenges with curiosity and resilience to innovate.
