Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC, a global HR-tech platform, seeks a Managing Counsel, Product (not a People Manager) to guide product counseling, AI governance, and risk controls across jurisdictions. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Security and Privacy to ensure compliant development and usage of HRIS/AI features.

Ideal candidates bring extensive product counseling experience, AI regulation knowledge, and in-house/startup exposure.

Qualifications

• Seasoned lawyer with product counseling experience across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience in technology, HR-tech exposure (EOR/PEO/HRIS/Payroll).
• Knowledge of AI frameworks (EU AI Act, UK, US, Canada) and data protection.
• In-house experience is a bonus; startup experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead HRIS and AI product counseling end-to-end with risk controls.
• Draft and negotiate product terms, including AI clauses as required.
• Monitor new AI and tech regulations and translate to concrete steps for teams.
• Manage external counsel on multi-jurisdictional issues; drive outcomes.
