Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a practical, versatile attorney to join our Product, Privacy and Regulatory Legal team. You will have a clear center of gravity in consumer protection and a flexible mandate across product counseling, privacy, regulatory matters, marketing, subscriptions, and international expansion.

This role reports to the Senior Director, Product, Privacy and Regulatory Legal, and you will work with Product, Engineering, Growth, Marketing, Support, Security, GRC,

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school or LL.M. is required.
• At least five years of relevant consumer protection or product counseling experience.
• Strong command of U.S. consumer protection law and UDAP/FTC Act.
• Experience with subscriptions, advertising, privacy, payments, and AI governance.
• Ability to lead matters independently and translate risk for product teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for cross-functional audiences.
• Comfort learning technical systems and asking precise questions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary legal partner for consumer products from design through launch and post-launch review.
• Advise on consumer protection issues including pricing, subscriptions, renewals, refunds, and ads.
• Review marketing, growth, and advertising initiatives, including adtech and martech.
• Counsel product and engineering on privacy, data use, consent, retention, and AI transparency.
• Lead legal review of cross-functional launches and translate requirements into product choices.
• Support responses to regulators and consumer complaints in coordination with regulatory lead.
• Assess incidents crossing product, privacy, and regulatory lines.
• Monitor AI regulatory developments and convert them into playbooks and guidance.
• Build scalable legal infrastructure: templates, standards, and self-service guidance.
• Flex across the broader Product, Privacy and Regulatory Legal portfolio as priorities shift.
