Job summary

Remote is seeking a Managing Counsel, Product (Individual Contributor) to advise on payroll and AI product features across 90+ jurisdictions from anywhere in the world. You will translate complex regulatory rules into clear product requirements, balance compliance with business needs, and partner with Privacy & Security and Commercial Legal.

You are a senior lawyer with product counseling experience, HR tech knowledge, and in-house or startup background.

Qualifications

• Seasoned lawyer with extensive experience on product counseling across jurisdictions.
• Proven HR tech (Payroll/PEO/EOR) counseling experience.
• Deep understanding of AI frameworks and data protection laws across jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with payroll and AI product counseling end-to-end.
• Draft and negotiate product terms and AI-specific clauses.
• Monitor new AI and tech regulations and translate into actionable steps for product, design and engineering teams.
• Manage external counsel on complex, multi-jurisdictional issues.
• Deliver targeted enablement trainings.
• Partner with Privacy & Security on DPIAs/TIAs, incident response, and vendor/LLM diligence.
• Handle complex matters with proactive solutions.
