Job summary

Remote is seeking a Managing Counsel for Product to partner with Payroll, Product, Engineering, Privacy, and Security. This role focuses on translating complex regulatory requirements into actionable product requirements while balancing compliance and commercial needs.

The successful candidate has extensive product counseling experience across multiple jurisdictions, strong AI framework knowledge (EU/UK/US), and in-house exposure.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with extensive experience on product counseling across jurisdictions.
• In-house experience preferred.
• Experience with AI frameworks and payroll/HR tech.
• Fluent English in professional settings.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team on payroll and AI product counseling end-to-end.
• Collaborate with Commercial Legal on product T&Cs and AI-specific clauses.
• Proactively monitor new AI and tech regulations and translate into concrete steps for product, design and engineering teams.
• Manage external counsel on complex, multi-jurisdictional issues; drive clear outcomes.
• Deliver targeted enablement (trainings or office hours).
• Partner with Privacy & Security on DPIAs/TIAs and vendor diligence.
• Solve complex matters by finding practical solutions.
