Job summary

HarbourVest Partners in Boston is seeking a Director, Product Capabilities Technology Lead to steer the technology and data strategy for product capabilities and act as the data platform lead for information from third-party administrators.

You will collaborate with fund operations, data platform teams, and external partners, manage one direct report, and influence broader teams across technology, operations, and delivery partners to deliver complex launches successfully.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills to profile data, identify loss or duplication, and challenge technical conclusions.
• Experience connecting at least one fund or vehicle with an administrator or transfer agent.
• Delivery experience across concurrent workstreams, backlog management, and oversight of delivery partners or systems integrators.
• Exposure to modern cloud data platforms and data lineage concepts.
• Experience leading at least one employee or developing analysts through matrix leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the technology and data roadmap for third-party administrators, prioritizing demand and sequencing.
• Lead administrator technology relationships, including data commitments and onboarding.
• Translate business needs into clear requirements and data mappings for engineering teams.
• Unite data architects, modelers, data owners, and business leaders around shared data products.
• Create data quality controls and drive issues through resolution.
• Turn product structures and operating decisions into system configurations and data feeds.
• Evaluate downstream impacts across data platform, CRM, and client-facing apps.
