Job summary

HarbourVest Partners invites a Director of Investment Data And Analytics to lead design and implementation of scalable data platforms. You will own data pipelines, enhance data quality, and steer architecture decisions for resilient production systems.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with investment and research teams, and ensure adoption of data products across fund and portfolio workflows, while aligning with firm strategies in private markets technology.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building, and operating cloud data platforms in production.
• Strong proficiency with SQL, Python, and cloud data warehouses.
• Knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT, data quality, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver data pipelines and models across financial datasets.
• Lead infrastructure and cloud data systems supporting investment workflows.
• Set engineering standards and review designs to raise quality.
• Mentor engineers and drive end-to-end data product delivery.
• Collaborate with investment and research teams to translate problems into scalable solutions.
