Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. seeks a global engineering leader to standardize processes for Dry-Coolers and CDUs and to drive scalable product platforms. You will own product data architecture, configuration models, and lifecycle management across ERP/PLM systems.

This role collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, product management, and digital teams to deploy standards that enable automation, design reuse, and faster time-to-market.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience with configurable products and engineering documentation/manufacturing.
• Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience as a designer.
• Associates degree inTechnology/Engineering required.
• Mastery of 3D modeling software (Creo, SolidWorks, Inventor) required.
• Creo preferred.
• Experience with 2D AutoCAD (Electrical) preferred.
• ERP systems (SAP, MAPICS, AS/400) experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with bill of material configurators (eLogia, VC) preferred.
• Automation coding (Smart Assembly, VBA) preferred.
• MS Office proficiency preferred.
• Travel up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead standardization of engineering processes for Dry-Coolers and CDUs.
• Define product architecture, data structures, and lifecycle management across systems.
• Develop scalable, configurable product platforms enabling automation and design reuse.
• Drive global adoption of best practices in engineering processes and configurability.
• Manage CAD models, BOMs, and EOM structures; govern product data architecture.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, product management, and digital teams.
