We're looking for a Junior Producer / Production Coordinator who's organized, resourceful, and hungry to make great films.
Story produces high-end commercial and branded content for some of the world's most ambitious companies, alongside a growing slate of original scripted fiction and nonfiction projects.
You'll work directly with our producers and creative team to bring these productions to life. One day, you might be coordinating crew and logistics for a commercial shoot. The next, you're scouting locations, organizing equipment, or helping pull together a documentary production on a tight deadline.
We're looking for someone who takes initiative, figures things out, and doesn't wait to be told what to do. You're comfortable juggling a dozen moving pieces, solving problems on the fly, and doing whatever it takes to help a production succeed.
This is an opportunity to get hands‑on experience across every stage of filmmaking, take on real responsibility, and grow into a producer capable of leading your own projects.

Coordinate crews and vendors. Help book crew, manage communications, coordinate availability, and ensure everyone has the information they need.
Stay on top of the details. Maintain production calendars, call sheets, contact lists, schedules, budgets, and other essential production documents.
Support shoots on set. Help manage day‑of logistics, coordinate with crew, and handle unexpected problems to keep productions running smoothly.
Track budgets and expenses. Help prepare estimates, collect invoices, track spending, and keep production finances organized.
Support projects from start to finish. Work with producers and the creative team throughout pre‑production, filming, and post‑production.

You have some experience working in film, commercial production, documentaries, or a related creative production environment.
You're extremely organized and can keep track of multiple projects, deadlines, and details at once.
You're resourceful and persistent. When you hit a roadblock, you look for another way forward.
You're proactive and take ownership of your work. You don't need constant direction to get things done.
You're a clear communicator who can work confidently with crew, vendors, clients, and creative teams.
You're comfortable with production tools, spreadsheets, budgets, calendars, and scheduling.
You're adaptable and happy to jump between planning at a desk and solving problems on set.
You're a genuine interest in filmmaking and want to understand every part of the production process.
You're based in the SF Bay Area or willing to relocate.
You're relentlessly resourceful. You don't give up when something gets difficult. You'll make the extra call, find another option, and keep pushing until you've figured it out.
You're one step ahead. You anticipate what needs to happen next and take care of details before anyone has to ask. You make the people around you more effective.
You're organized under pressure. You can juggle several projects, respond to last‑minute changes, and keep everything moving without losing track of the details.
You have a get‑it‑done attitude. No task is beneath you. Whether it's building a production schedule, tracking down a location contact, or making a last‑minute equipment run, you take pride in getting things done right.
You want to become a great producer. You're curious, ambitious, and excited to learn from experienced filmmakers. You don't just want to coordinate productions. You want to understand how they're built and lead them yourself.
