Who Is Shown Media, and What This Role Is About
Every launch lives or dies on set. The strategy, the script, the perfect hook - none of it matters if the day falls apart: crew's late, the location falls through, budget spirals, talent's stuck at the airport. Someone has to make sure none of that ever happens. That's the Producer. We're looking for ours.
Who We Are
Shown Media is a 100+ person creative studio. Emmy winners, ex-MrBeast creatives, elite strategists. We run viral launches for billion-dollar companies like Slash, WithCoverage, and Contra - generating hundreds of millions of views, zero paid distribution. We might be the reason you even know some of these companies.
Why This Role Exists
Creative work needs friction removed, not added. Every hour the creative team spends chasing a vendor, tracking a budget line, or fixing a scheduling mess is an hour they're not spending making something that breaks the internet.
We exist to give this generation's Steve Jobs the distribution they deserve. That only happens if the machine behind it runs clean. That's you.
The Role
You won't manage a content calendar. You'll own production, start to finish - every shoot, every budget, every moving piece that has to land correctly for the creative to have a shot at working.
- Own production planning end to end - scheduling, budgeting, locations, crew, logistics, and vendor coordination for every shoot, from the first booking to wrap.
- Build and manage multiple production budgets at once , tracking spend in real time and flagging overruns before they become a problem, not after.
- Prepare and present detailed budgets, timelines, and feasibility reports with a creative-first lens - you're protecting the vision, not just the spreadsheet.
- Produce every shoot on set - run the day, hold the schedule, and make sure the Director of Photography has everything they need to actually deliver.
- Source, vet, and manage production contractors for each shoot - brief them clearly, hold them to a real standard, and don't let a weak link slow anyone down.
- Coordinate all talent logistics - travel, accommodations, call times, and on-set care for on-camera talent, so the only thing talent has to think about is performing.
- Liaise directly with the GM on financial performance, operational reporting, and production capacity planning - you're a source of truth on what we can actually take on.
- See bottlenecks before they hit. You're not solving problems after they've become emergencies - you're the reason most of them never get the chance to.
- Build the systems that let this scale. Document what works so production doesn't lose quality or speed as volume grows.
- Protect the creative team from operational friction so their only job is the work itself.
The Type of Person Who Fits Our Culture
- You're comfortable with ambiguity - you can plan flexibly without prematurely locking things in, because you know the plan will change.
- You adapt fast to last-minute pivots - a day/night switch, a location falling through at 6am - without losing the thread of the day.
- You solve unique production problems alongside your teammates, not by escalating and waiting for someone else to fix it.
- You think in systems, not just tasks - every shoot you run makes the next one easier, for you and everyone after you.
- You hold people to a standard without needing to be asked twice - vendors, contractors, crew all know where they stand with you.
- You have taste - you protect the creative vision, you don't just protect the budget.
