Job summary

Story in San Francisco invites a seasoned Fullstack Filmmaker to lead projects from concept through delivery. You will develop concepts, plan productions, direct, shoot, and edit across Story’s diverse work. Some projects you’ll own end to end; others you’ll collaborate with a producer.

This role suits someone who can manage multiple projects, coordinate with VFX, lead client calls, and maintain strong relationships from brief to final cut.

Qualifications

• Portfolio demonstrating work across multiple stages of production.
• Professional experience directing, shooting, and editing.
• Experience managing client relationships.
• Ability to complete a paid test project.
• Based in the SF Bay Area or willing to relocate.
• Degrees not required. Your work speaks for itself.

Your Story

We’re hiring a Fullstack Filmmaker who can take a project from the first idea to the final film. You’ll develop concepts, plan productions, direct, shoot, and edit across Story’s work. Some projects you’ll own end to end; others you’ll lead alongside a producer. This is an experienced role for someone who understands the whole process and can step in wherever the work needs them.
