Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Produce Team role to assist with scheduling, supervision of Team Members, and day-to-day flow of the department. The position emphasizes maintaining compelling Produce, coffee, and juice displays and supporting the Produce Team Leaders to ensure smooth operations, customer service, and adherence to health and safety standards.

Responsibilities include supervising and training team members, keeping shelves stocked and rotated, coordinating open/close procedures,

Qualifications

• 12+ months retail experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong knowledge of produce safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and delegates tasks to Produce Team Members.
• Works with Produce Trainer to train Team Members and minimize turnover.
• Assists in training of new Team Members using checklists and materials.
• Keeps cases and shelves clean, stocked, and rotated.
• Opens and closes department per procedures.
• Ensures all necessary breaks are given.
• Communicates team concerns to Team Leader and Associate Team Leader.
• Sets and achieves high standards of retail execution.
• Fosters a positive environment of teamwork and morale.
• Maintains awareness of customer flows and directs Team Members to satisfy and delight customers.
• Selects, trains, develops, mentors, motivates, and counsels Team Members.
• Provides timely performance evaluations and communicates WFM vision.
