Job summary

Whole Foods Market IP. L.P. in Westport, CT, seeks a Produce Team Member to assist scheduling, supervise Team Members, and maintain compelling Produce, coffee, and juice displays.

You will support the Produce Team Leader to ensure smooth operation and uphold our standards of courteous, friendly service and adherence to health and safety regulations. The role emphasizes training, delegation, inventory management, and strong customer interaction.

Qualifications

• 12+ months retail experience.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a cold/wet environment.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and delegates tasks to Produce Team Members.
• Works with Produce Trainer to train Team Members to build a high-performance team.
• Assists in training of new Team Members using learning checklists and materials.
• Keeps cases and shelves clean, well-stocked and rotated.
• Opens and closes department according to procedures.
• Ensures all breaks are given.
• Communicates team concerns to Team Leader and Associate Team Leader.
• Sets and achieves high standards of retail execution.
• Fosters teamwork, respect, and morale.
• Addresses customer needs and questions to delight customers.
• Trains and counsels Team Members to maintain a high-performance team.
• Provides timely performance evaluations.
• Models WFM vision and goals.
