Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Ann Arbor is seeking an experienced Produce Department supervisor to assist with scheduling, supervising Team Members, and maintaining compelling displays of Produce, coffee, and juice. You will support the Produce Team Leader to ensure smooth operation and superior customer service.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Produce team procedures and policies.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer relation skills.
• Ability to train and develop team members.
• Knowledge of product lines in Produce, coffee and juice.
• Regulatory and safety policy awareness.
• Ability to monitor and manage inventory and profitability.
• Demonstrated leadership and delegation abilities.
• Proficiency with email and office applications.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and delegates tasks to Produce Team Members.
• Works with Produce Trainer to train Team Members and minimize turnover.
• Assists in training of new Team Members using training materials.
• Keeps cases and shelves clean, stocked and rotated.
• Opens and closes department per procedures.
• Ensures breaks are given.
• Communicates team concerns to Team Leader and Associate Team Leader.
• Sets and achieves high standards of retail execution.
• Fosters positive teamwork and morale.
• Responds to customer needs and directs Team Members accordingly.
• Trains and counsels Team Members to maintain a high-performance team.
• Provides timely performance evaluations.
• Models WFM vision and goals.
