Job summary

Raley's is seeking an Assistant Produce Team Lead in Phoenix, AZ to support the Produce Team Lead and manage the produce department while pursuing department goals and ensuring top-quality produce for customers.

You will supervise staff, coordinate stock, merchandise, and displays, and maintain freshness and safety standards. Must be 18+; 21+ if serving alcohol; competitive benefits and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be 21 years of age for any position that serves alcohol.

Responsibilities

• In the produce manager's absence, directing produce department personnel and meeting department's goals and objectives.
• Communicating directly with the store team lead and produce department supervisors.
• Ordering produce and produce department products necessary to maintain adequate stock levels and merchandising fruits, vegetables and produce products in accordance with produce merchandising standards.
• Unloading trailers, receiving merchandise verifying orders, breaking down produce loads, positioning cases of product in the produce warehouse or walk‑in cooler.
• Understanding proper product trimming, rotation, culling, crisping and watering techniques and procedures, ensuring product attractiveness and shelf life.
• Building attractive displays of produce, while maintaining proper product inventory levels.
• Understanding the importance of monitoring product pricing, signage, and placement and the proper use of product shelf tags and signage.
• All other related duties as assigned.
