Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clear directions to team members.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and address root causes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial information and use it to make informed decisions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Ensure staffing and hiring to meet store needs.
• Drive customer service excellence and maintain store standards.
• Maintain P&L responsibility and controllable shrink targets.
• Provide fast, friendly service and promote the Meijer Friendly Initiative.
• Ensure team training and safety practices are followed.
• Communicate effectively in team meetings and with leadership.
