Job summary

Meijer is seeking a store leadership professional to guide daily store operations, drive sales, and mentor team members. You will oversee staffing, training, and performance management while maintaining our standards for service and store presentation.

The role emphasizes customer-first service, operational excellence, and safe, compliant practices across all departments. Experience in retail leadership and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of management experience.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas are helpful.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in daily store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet service and sales goals.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet needs.
• Apply disciplinary actions and manage promotions when appropriate.
• Oversee P&L, sales targets and shrink control.
• Ensure team is trained and provides exceptional customer service.
• Maintain safe, clean store appearance during prime hours and busy shifts.
• Communicate Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings and conversations.
