Job summary

Meijer in Ohio is seeking a store leadership professional to plan, direct and supervise day-to-day operations across departments. You will mentor team members, manage staffing and training, and implement strategies to improve customer service and store performance.

The role requires 1 year of management experience and 2–3 years in retail, with rotational assignments in meat, bakery, produce and deli. You will communicate clear directions, resolve conflicts, and ensure safe, consistent operations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• 1 year of management experience.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience mentioned in the qualifications.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas are noted as helpful.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise day-to-day operations within various departments.
• Mentor and coach team members, and implement strategies to improve customer service and sales.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning and provide career paths.
• Disciplinary actions and recommendations concerning discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink.
• Ensure store is clean, well-presented and adheres to company standards.
• Ensure staff are trained and have completed required training.
