Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in store areas (meat, bakery, produce, deli) and customer service.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly to team members.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts by root-cause analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and analyze financial information.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead in a team environment.
• Completion of required certifications is expected.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, hiring, and scheduling to meet needs.
• Manage P&L, drive sales, and minimize shrink.
• Provide coaching to team members to exceed service and sales goals.
• Document disciplinary actions and performance plans.
• Ensure training is completed and maintain excellent customer service.
• Foster a safe, productive work environment with reliable attendance.
• Lead by example in delivering Meijer’s customer-first standards.
