Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with basic knowledge of math, weights and measures.
• Dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with ability to interact with customers.
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction in a team.
• Maintain housekeeping and sanitary standards in the department.
• Follow safety, health, weights and measures regulations (including COOL).
• Able to stand/walk, lift up to 50 lbs, and use a pallet jack or manual handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Produce Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Produce team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, goal setting, and teamwork.
• Maintain freshness by proper receiving, processing, packaging, pricing, signage, display, and rotation.
• Lead a team to deliver high-quality products and excellent customer service.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Produce team.
• Unload deliveries and operate/maintain produce equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
