Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with basic math/weights knowledge.
• Dependable with flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with strong customer interaction skills.
• Good communication and ability to take direction in a team environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the department and follow safety guidelines.
• Adhere to safety, health, Weights & Measures regulations and obtain a Food Handlers permit.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate pallet jack as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Produce Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Produce team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Maintain freshness standards through receiving, processing, packaging, pricing, signage, display, and rotation.
• Lead a team that delivers high quality product and service to customers.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Produce team.
• Unload and sort deliveries, operate and maintain produce equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
