John W. Danforth Company is seeking a Procurement Specialist to source materials for shop and field teams, ensuring timely, cost-effective procurement. You will liaise with vendors, field personnel, and internal departments to optimize purchasing processes and supplier relationships.

The role emphasizes collaboration across teams, forecasting procurement needs, and maintaining compliance with policies and quality standards. HVAC/plumbing knowledge and strong communication are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent hands-on industry experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); experience with Dynamics GP or Google tools preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with vendors.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Streamline requisition processing and oversee workflow to ensure timely and accurate order administration.
• Confirm compliance with internal requirements to facilitate prompt and precise delivery to shop and field operations
• Partner with internal teams to effectively forecast procurement needs and align supply with demand.
• Assist warehouse operations with receiving, documenting, and fulfilling shop orders efficiently and accurately.
• Address and resolve procurement issues, including urgent project-related material needs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, field teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and procurement best practices.

Job Summary

As a Procurement Specialist at John W. Geographic Disclosure

Compensation Range: $63,000-$75,000

Other Compensation: Bonus eligible
