Job summary

Mercor seeks a Procurement Ops Specialist to manage procurement operations, vendor onboarding, and employee purchasing experiences. You’ll handle helpdesk requests, purchase orders, and coordination with Accounts Payable to unblock aged invoices, while supporting training and systems testing.

In a fast-paced AI-focused environment, you’ll drive process improvements, ensure accurate vendor data, and collaborate across teams to meet SLAs and improve procurement workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in procurement operations or procure-to-pay (requisitions, POs, change orders).
• Experience supporting vendor onboarding and contract coordination.
• Familiarity with Ramp, Ironclad, Zip; bias toward automation over manual work.
• Attention to detail with pricing, entities, categories, and vendor data.
• Solid understanding of AP and payment processes; ability to hand off to AP smoothly.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; able to manage deadlines.
• Experience in fast-paced AI or hyper-growth tech environments.
• Can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Purchasing operations: validate pricing, entities, categories; create and finalize POs and change orders in procurement platform.
• Vendor onboarding: follow up for missing information; review tax and banking docs; maintain vendor profiles.
• Aged invoice resolution: assist AP in unblocking invoices; coordinate with requesters to resolve PO gaps.
• Contract signatures: route contracts for signature; coordinate with stakeholders and vendors; track completion.
• Procurement helpdesk: triage requests; route questions; track issues to resolution.
• Intake and service levels: monitor intake; meet SLAs; keep requests moving.
• Training and systems support: train users on procurement workflows and tools.
