Qualifications

• 3-5+ years in procurement operations, purchasing, accounts payable, finance operations, contract administration, or related role.
• Hands-on experience running purchase requests through purchase orders in a procure-to-pay tool at high-volume company.
• Knowledge of how contract review routes among procurement, legal, security, and requester.
• Strong understanding of financial controls including GL, accruals, and spend coding.
• Comfort working across spend categories (software, services, marketing, HR, facilities).
• Detail-oriented with excellent data validation and follow-through.
• Clear, non-jargon communication to non-finance stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and adapt to ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Serve as day-to-day procurement partner for a portfolio of business teams from intake to signed agreement and PO.
• Review requests and supporting documents (quotes, SOWs, order forms, vendor agreements) for completeness and policy alignment.
• Coordinate cross-functional reviews with Legal, Security, Privacy, IT, and Finance to keep requests moving.
• Translate procurement/finance requirements into plain language for business partners.
• Manage purchase orders across lifecycle, including changes and monthly reviews to keep invoicing aligned.
• Partner with Accounts Payable and vendors to resolve invoice and payment questions.
• Support month-end close by gathering spend data and explaining variances.
• Be a visible point of contact for business teams and escalate blockers with context.
• Maintain playbooks and pursue automation/AI improvements to reduce manual work.
