Job summary

Catalent’s Madison, Wisconsin site seeks a Procurement Manager - Direct Material to lead GMP materials sourcing for biologics manufacturing. You will define category strategy, manage supplier relationships, and ensure supply assurance and risk mitigation, collaborating with the Site Director, Global Procurement, and key stakeholders.

The role requires strong negotiation skills, leadership experience, and a background in regulated manufacturing. This is a 100% onsite position in Madison, WI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of procurement experience.
• Experience in biopharma, pharma, medical device, or highly regulated manufacturing preferred.
• Strong contract negotiation experience.
• Experience managing suppliers and procurement projects.
• Knowledge of GMP environments and direct materials sourcing.
• Leadership experience at Catalent may be considered in place of external experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage sourcing and purchasing of GMP raw materials for biologics manufacturing.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships and performance programs.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and supply agreements.
• Identify and mitigate supply shortages and material risks.
• Partner with Supply Chain on inventory strategies.
• Drive cost savings, cost avoidance, and sourcing initiatives.
• Support dual-sourcing strategies and supplier qualification efforts.
• Present savings, supplier performance, and risk updates to site leadership.
