Job summary

Olin Chemicals in Houston, TX is offering a Summer 2027 Procurement Intern position. The role focuses on supporting strategic sourcing and procurement operations through supplier engagement, data analysis, and system utilization. Stipends include a housing stipend and a 40-hour work week during May–August 2027.

You will lead projects, assist with RFPs, bid events, and supplier qualification while learning SAP and contributing to cost-reduction efforts.

Qualifications

• Enrolled at an accredited college or university majoring in an undergraduate or graduate Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or business-related degree program.
• Must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale at all times; official transcript required each term.
• Must have completed sophomore year (60 credits) prior to first rotation with Olin.
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) May–August 2027; not eligible for virtual work.
• A valid US Driver’s license is required; sponsorship not provided; must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Location: Houston, Texas

Salary: $25.00 / hour for undergraduate students; $33.00 / hour for graduate students

What You’ll Do:

• Lead a minimum of three hands-on projects throughout the term, to be defined at the beginning of the rotation based on department and business need


• Assist with competitive bid events, supplier qualification, and issuing RFPs to support sourcing initiatives


• Track supplier performance, prepare reports and presentations, and contribute to cost-reduction efforts


• Learn and apply SAP tools to support procurement activities across categories and aid in project execution

What You’ll Bring:

• Enrolled at an accredited college or university majoring in an undergraduate or graduate Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or business-related degree program (or pending enrollment in a Master's program in one of these disciplines)


• Must have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale at all times throughout your time at Olin. An official transcript will be required each term. Cumulative GPA on current institution transcript will be used in transfer college situations.


• Must have completed sophomore year (or 60 completed credit hours) prior to first rotation with Olin


• Ability to work full-time (40 hours a week during normal business hours) May-August 2027. Not eligible for virtual work.


• A valid US Driver’s license is required
