Job summary

Missouri Department of Transportation seeks a Procurement Intern to support purchasing of commodities and services in accordance with state regulations. Work under supervision to ensure quality, price, on-time delivery, and proper vendor treatment.

Responsibilities include reviewing contracts, assisting in bid evaluations, developing vendor lists, inviting bidders, and processing procurement for tools, parts, and services.

Qualifications

• Enrolled full-time in a relevant bachelor’s or post-bachelor’s degree program.
• Must have completed at least 30 credit hours toward current degree.
• GPA of 2.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

Responsibilities

• Review and prepare contracts and proposals for compliance with statutes and regulations.
• Assist in evaluating bids and issuing purchase orders for approved awards.
• Develop vendor lists and monitor vendor performance for contract requirements.
• Issue invitations to eligible bidders and process bids for procurement of goods and services.
• Assist in determining contract pricing accuracy and applicable credits or liquidated damages.

Education
