The Missouri Department of Transportation is seeking a Construction Intern to support inspections and project administration in Jefferson City.

You will assist with coordinating inspections, taking measurements, and assisting with field surveying under moderate supervision, with some night work possible as project needs arise.

Qualifikationen

• Enrolled in an ABET-accredited bachelor’s or post-bachelor’s degree program full-time (12+ credit hours).
• 30 credit hours completed/accepted toward current degree program; transcripts needed to verify eligibility.
• Maintain an overall GPA of at least 2.0 out of 4.0, or equivalent.

• Assist with coordinating and performing construction inspections to verify contractor conformance with contracts, specs, and engineering principles.
• Assist inspectors with routine inspections (asphaltic/portland cement plants, paving, grading/base, bridges, culverts, utilities, traffic signals, lighting).
• Assist with measurements, computations, or other work for final plans, change orders, and contractor payment estimates.
• Provide field checks for surveying operations; assist party chief on routine layout and staking.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Assist with coordinating and performing construction inspections verifying that contractors' activities are in compliance with contracts, specifications, and engineering principles.

• Enrolled in a relevant ABET-accredited bachelor's or post-bachelor's degree program full-time (12+ credit hours).
• 30 credit hours completed/accepted toward current degree program. High school or other postsecondary program credits must be shown to be accepted by the current program through a degree transcript to apply.
• Possess and maintain an overall GPA of at least 2.0 out of 4.0, or equivalent.
