Nebraska Public Power District is seeking a Procurement Intern for Summer 2027 at Columbus General Office and York Operations Center in Nebraska. The intern will assist in procuring materials and services, coordinate with internal customers, and support accounts payable and invoicing processes under supervision.

Eligible students should be enrolled in a 2- or 4-year college with a relevant major and maintain enrollment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in accredited two-year or four-year college/university with 12 semester units/credits or 8 quarter units and standing (freshman to senior)
• Major in accounting, business, finance, management or supply chain and must maintain enrollment
• College credit may apply to some internships

Responsabilités

• Assist with procurement of materials and services to meet specifications
• Perform research and incorporate requirements into procurement documents
• Conduct purchasing activities with sound judgement and compliance
• Build relationships with internal customers and suppliers to focus on cost savings and on-time delivery
• Post business transactions and process invoices; verify data for accounts payable
• Clarify questionable invoice items and obtain proper information for payments
• Coordinate with Buyer/Specialist for resolution of PO numbers, vendors, and tax questions
• Perform other duties as assigned
