Job summary

LP Building Solutions in Nashville, TN is seeking a Summer Intern for the Procurement team from May 2027 to August 2027. This paid, full-time internship will be based in Nashville with a hybrid work schedule.

You will support day-to-day procurement activities, supplier data, spend reporting, and participate in sourcing projects, with exposure to SAP/Ariba and ERP systems. This role offers hands-on learning and cross-functional collaboration.

• Expected graduation date August 2027 or later
• GPA 3.0 or higher

Job Purpose

This position will support our Procurement team as a Summer Intern from May 2027 – August 2027 and will be based in Nashville, TN. This is a paid, full- time internship.

In This Position You Will Have The Opportunity To

• Support the Procurement team with day-to-day activities including supplier research, data collection, contract support, spend reporting, and support on sourcing activities.
• Assist with specific Procurement projects such as supplier performance tracking, scorecards, contract documentation, cost savings analysis, sourcing event preparation, and organization of supplier or category data.
• Develop practical knowledge of procurement processes, strengthen analytical and communication skills, and gain exposure to supplier relationship management, contract administration, and cross-functional project work. Along with an opportunity to work within ERP systems – SAP/ Ariba.

What do I need to be successful?

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis; experience with Power BI, procurement systems, or ERP tools is a plus
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Strong organizational skills
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Time management skills

Education

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, Analytics, or a related field
• Must have an expected graduation date of August 2027 or later
• Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher

Work Environment

• This position will work at home and in our Nashville office on a hybrid schedule
