Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking an Expediter to support project teams by performing mildly complex expediting activities, with potential broadening to more complex tasks. The role works under general supervision and may include other procurement duties across multiple projects.

You will track submittals, coordinate with project, supply chain, and engineering teams, and monitor vendor performance to ensure on-time delivery while adhering to contract terms.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Supply Chain, Business, Technical/Engineering, Construction Management or related field (preferred)
• Relevant experience may be substituted for a degree
• Proficient Attention to Detail
• Proficient Communication - Written and Oral
• Proficient Computer Skills - Databases and MS Office
• Basic Mathematics

• Basic Schedule and Planning Understanding

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of project requirements from initiation and support development of the expediting plan
• Proficient in expediting tools to track vendor performance and deliverables
• Coordinate and lead tracking with project, supply chain, engineering and receiving
• Review vendor schedules to identify discrepancies with project requirements
• Prepare status reports and present to project management
• May train others in the Expediter function
• May monitor shop visits and progress accordingly
