Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation seeks an Expediter to support project teams with mildly complex expediting tasks, with potential expansion to more complex work across multiple projects.

You’ll work as an individual contributor within the procurement function, under general supervision. Requires 2 years of relevant experience and a BA/BS in a related field, with strong attention to detail and communication skills. Hybrid work options may be offered after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience.
• BA or BS degree in Supply Chain, Business, Technical / Engineering, Construction Management or related field (preferred).
• Proficient attention to detail.
• Proficient communication - written and oral.
• Proficient computer skills - databases and MS Office.
• Basic contract comprehension.
• Proficient data entry.
• Basic mathematics.
• Proficient organizational skills.
• Basic problem solving.
• Basic project process management.
• Basic schedule and planning understanding.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of project requirements from initiation and support development of the expediting plan.
• Proficient in expediting tools to track vendor performance and deliverables.
• Coordinate and lead tracking with project, supply chain, engineering and receiving teams.
• Review vendor schedules to identify discrepancies with project requirements.
• Maintain liquidated damages positions per contract articles.
• Prepare status reports and present to project management.
• May train others in expediting functions.
• Follow corporate and project filing rules.
