Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking a Supply Chain Expediter Intern to join our on-site team in Overland Park, KS. You will support expediting activities, monitor supplier progress, and help ensure deliveries align with project requirements.

You will collect supplier data, maintain records, and collaborate with procurement and project controls to identify risks and drive timely delivery while gaining hands-on experience in a global engineering and construction firm.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a 4 year program in Supply Chain, Business, Technical / Engineering, Construction Management or related field program.
• Preferred bachelors or masters degree in Supply Chain or Procurement.
• All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search) in compliance with applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Assist Expeditors with monitoring supplier progress against purchase order requirements, contractual milestones, and project delivery dates.
• Collect, review, and update supplier status information, including engineering, procurement, fabrication, testing, shipping, and delivery milestones.
• Support routine follow-up with suppliers to obtain current schedules, progress updates, recovery plans, and required documentation.
• Maintain expediting notes, reports, trackers, and records in applicable Supply Chain and project systems.

Education
