Job summary

GTN Technical Staffing is seeking a Procurement Associate – Mechanical Equipment in Irving, TX, to support a large-scale data center construction program. The role is hybrid—3 days onsite, 2 days remote—and reports to the Director of Procurement – Mechanical.

You will manage POs for chillers and HVAC equipment, prepare RFQs, track long-lead items, coordinate logistics, and resolve invoice issues. 4–6 years of procurement experience and a bachelor’s degree are required.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of procurement experience purchasing capital equipment, engineered systems, or construction materials.
• Direct buying experience with mechanical or HVAC equipment.
• Procure-to-pay processes and ERP-based purchasing experience.
• Experience expediting equipment and managing supplier delivery commitments.
• Understanding of freight terms, Incoterms, milestones, and warranties.
• Strong Excel, organizational, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare RFQs, compare supplier bids, and support sourcing activities.
• Track long-lead equipment, production milestones, shipping, and delivery risks.
• Coordinate delivery logistics, vendor submittals, approvals, and factory testing schedules.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies, shortages, shipping damage, and warranty issues.
• Maintain supplier records, purchasing reports, and performance tracking.
