Responsibilities

  • Establish physical presence and leadership in assigned testing location(s); move around the testing space at regular intervals.
  • Maintain a professional, orderly, and comfortable testing environment; conduct pre‑, during, and post‑administration inspection activities.
  • Manage behavioral and technical situations, including incident and violations reporting and documentation.
  • Record and document attendance, including lateness and no‑shows; review test‑taker credentials prior to exam administration.
  • Collaborate with administrators to monitor compliance with accommodation requirements.
  • Distribute and explain testing policies and procedures to test‑takers; address questions and concerns; report policy violations to appropriate staff.
  • Ensure approved individual accommodations are in place during testing.
  • Monitor and communicate test and exam start and end times.
  • Work with department leaders to distribute and collect equipment and materials; report technical issues and assist with resolution.
  • Attend regular and ad‑hoc staff meetings.
  • Complete and participate in all required training events.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Starting Hourly Pay: $20.00/hr

Job Description Summary

The proctor ensures integrity of student test environments by monitoring room conditions and test‑taker behavior. Proctors work closely with academic and administrative leaders to administer testing policies and procedures, track attendance, handle timekeeping, distribute and collect materials, and report incidents and violations.
