Job description

Job Title: Proctor (Suwanee)

The proctor is responsible for ensuring the integrity of student test environments by monitoring room conditions and test-taker behaviors. The role includes monitoring, maintaining order, managing behavioral and technical situations, recording attendance, ensuring compliance with accommodations, distributing and collecting materials, and reporting incidents.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Establish physical presence and leadership in assigned testing locations; move around the testing space at regular intervals.
  • Maintain a professional, orderly, and comfortable testing environment for test-takers; conduct pre‑, during, and post‑administration inspection activities in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Manage behavioral and technical situations that arise within assigned testing spaces, including incident and violation reporting and documentation.
  • Record and document attendance, including lateness and no‑shows; review test‑taker credentials prior to exam administration.
  • Collaborate with administrators to monitor test administration compliance with accommodation requirements for individuals or groups.
  • Distribute and explain testing policies and procedures to test‑takers; address questions and concerns; report policy violations to appropriate staff.
  • Collaborate with academic or administrative staff to ensure approved individual accommodations are in place for the duration of the testing period.
  • Monitor and communicate test and exam start and end times.
  • Work with department leaders to distribute and collect equipment and materials to support the effective administration of exams; report technical issues and assist with resolution as appropriate.
  • Attend regular and ad‑hoc staff meetings.
  • Complete and participate in all required training events and activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Compensation

Starting hourly pay: $20.00 per hour. PCOM offers a total rewards package that supports employees’ health, life, career, and retirement.
