Description
PURPOSE: To perform various tasks related to supply, pricing, ticketing, sorting, testing, and assisting with goods in the store.
- Supply product to be priced and ticketed.
- Price and coordinate processing of wares.
- Price and ticket wares to maintain adequate production.
- Sort footwear into various categories.
- Maintain flow of goods.
- Test and supply processed electrical/mechanical items for sale.
- Assist truck driver in loading and unloading materials from the Goodwill truck.
FUNCTION:
- Supply product for production.
- Price and ticket product, separate, package, and inventory wares, and supply processed shoes to meet quotas and deadlines.
- Ensure quality and material control.
- Maintain general housekeeping and safety standards.
- Perform other related duties as directed by the Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform production activities as designated by supervisor.
- Maintain quality and material control.
- Keep work area clean and safe.
- Organize and price products, separate toys, wares, glass, and seasonal items.
- Recognize use, style, value, saleability, salvage, trash, and seasonal items.
- Clean as necessary.
- Bag or box salvage items.
- Mark everything that will leave the building clearly.
- Price and ticket all products.
- Wrap necessary items.
- Test electrical/mechanical items, price or discard.
- Direct obvious trash from boxes or piles.
- Pack items for shipping.
- Handle seasonal items as they arrive and box for storage.
- Help truck driver and co-workers with loading/unloading.
- Transport clothing, wares, etc., to sales floor.
- Must be able to stand for long periods, use hands for handling, reach, push, or pull, and occasionally sit, kneel, stoop, throw, turn, and twist.
- Lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
RELATIONS:
Establish and maintain relations with:
- Lead Processor or Store Manager/Assistant Manager for coordination.
- Other workers in the organization for assistance and related work.
