Job summary

America’s Thrift Stores is seeking a Processing Manager to oversee product flow from dock to sales floor and ensure operational standards are met while complying with company policies. You will supervise staff, manage workflows, and drive improvements in efficiency and safety.

The role requires strong leadership, coaching, and data-driven decision making, with a focus on performance and customer service in a thrift retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Experience in production, retail, logistics, or distribution environment.
• Training in ATS processing operations or human relations.
• Experience in manufacturing, thrift, or distribution businesses.
• Past management experience with hiring and policy enforcement.
• Knowledge of work standards and capacity planning.
• Strong leadership, energy, and initiative.
• Data-driven performance tracking and reporting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee product flow from dock to sales floor; ensure efficiency.
• Develop, monitor, and improve CTQ metrics for workflow.
• Implement cost reduction strategies and foster results-driven culture.
• Ensure compliance with policies and standards.
• Maintain equipment using internal resources and vendors.
• Hire, train, and develop team members; provide coaching.
• Manage production levels, inventory quality, and pricing to optimize revenue.
• Oversee budgets, P&L, and financial reporting.
• Coordinate cash deposits and transactions with accuracy.
• Build community relationships to drive donations and mission support.
• Ensure exceptional customer service for donors, customers, and partners.
• Oversee merchandising and store presentation; maintain safety.
