Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 2–3 years of archival processing experience.
• Knowledge of archival arrangement, description, cataloging, and preservation practices.
• Experience maintaining inventories, metadata, finding aids, or digital collection records.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital documentation tools.

Responsibilities

• Receive, evaluate, and organize archival materials and records.
• Arrange and describe collections per archival standards.
• Create and maintain finding aids, inventories, and collection records.
• Assess preservation needs and ensure proper handling and storage.
• Maintain databases, metadata, and processing documentation.
• Support digitization projects and verify digital records.
• Collaborate with library staff and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare materials for research requests.
• Follow access policies and maintain confidentiality.
• Monitor schedules and meet deadlines.
• Recommend improvements to workflows and cataloging practices.
