Job description

Process Tech I (Onsite)

Location: Fairfield, CA, USA.

Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC laser markers, CNC laser welders, and measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers and power meters.
• Set up, run and log process parameters, and maintain detailed data sheets and log entries.
• Identify and report equipment problems before tolerance limits are reached to prevent defective parts.
• Communicate mechanical and safety concerns to the group leader or supervisor promptly.
• Handle energetics in accordance with safety regulations.
• Perform production tasks assigned by the supervisor or group leader, following written procedures.
• Identify, control and dispose of hazardous and non‑hazardous waste including solvents, explosives, and lead.
• Read and follow Manufacturing Procedures, and maintain proper documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED) or vocational/technical education in a related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain ATF Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives qualifications.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in explosive or chemical manufacturing or handling (preferred).
• Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to keep accurate documentation.
• Willingness to cross‑train and work in all areas of operations.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds multiple times per hour.
• Experience with Human‑Machine Interface (HMI) software for equipment monitoring (preferred).
